I thank my lucky stars everyday being born into a family from the Amalfi Coast. If you want to take a trip to (one of) the most beautiful places in the world, go to Amalfi and drive along the Serpentine road to Naples and then take the ferry to Capri and catch a boat/canoe ride to the Blue Grotto… you can thank me when you get back.
Caveat: be prepared to gain weight from the most delicious fruit, wine, and food ever!
New author interview this Monday – avero uno splendido weekend!
If you’re in the London area, you must visit Camden Lock Market. I could give you a 100 reasons why but trust me, you don’t need any incentive. Let’s put it this way… If you like unique items for sale that epitomizes the London vibe, relish great food, and love music… then look no further. Considering how many bands are from this area like Madness, it’s no wonder playing here guaranteed them bar band notoriety to world fame – case in point, the touching addition of Amy Winehouse’s statue. When you stop by, take a river boat ride and tell Giacomo, Lisa sent you!
P.s hugs and love to my friend Katy (pictured with me above), who’s from Camden. We’ve come a long way since our chance meeting as SF neighbors!
Peace & love,
Did I ever mention how lucky I am to be a first generation Italian? And how great it is to have Parent’s (and an abode) from Amalfi Coast region? I had to reblog these beautiful photos by Ron Scubadiver – thanks for capturing these gems! Italy pics of my own coming soon.
Have a great weekend readers and make sure to check out my latest interview with lovely writer Kate Nivison this Monday.
And some more gorgeous pics from Ron’s extraordinary website – one of my favorite places in the world! The Blue Grotto is a must see in Capri 🙂
Just a short ferry ride away sits Capri, playground of the rich and famous, while swarming with ordinary tourists like myself. The views are fabulous and the people walking around, amazing. Here is just a little bit of what I saw on the island. I did get to speak with the lady from Miami. She is a down to earth gal.

I just took this fun test and my results were Portland, OR. Considering I lived in SF for four years, the cold year-round microclimate weather got to me and now the NY winter blues is on full throttle. This soul seeks warm sun rays! Well, at least for part of the year 😉
Off to the city of brotherly love tomorrow, looking forward to climbing the Philadelphia Museum steps blasting the Rocky’s Theme – Gonna Fly Now
Cheers to a great weekend!
