Classic Rock/Pop Tunes with “Sweet” Wedding Lyrics

05 Jan

My dear friend recently announced he was getting hitched! So he turned to his former college radio DJ friend (that be me) for music choices to play at his wedding. Easy enough right? Wrong! The clincher was to pick songs that had sweet and “appropriate” lyrics. Since the Moody Blues – Nights in White Satin is about a one night stand, it wouldn’t make the cut unfortunately.

So I did my usual research i.e. picking songs I’m familiar with, then checking the lyrics and taking it from there. This is what I came up with so far (below). I am open to suggestions!
